December 2011Power Design and its employees participated in the All Children's Hospital toy drive this holiday season. All Children's Hospital is the only hospital on Florida's West Coast totally devoted to children's care. They are a leader in pediatric treatment, education, research and advocacy. |

November 2011Power Design formed two corporate teams for the Tampa Bay Heart Walk. The Heart Walk is Tampa Bay's largest walking event, which provides the opportunity for people to improve their health by walking and raising funds to save lives from our country's No.1 and No. 3 killers, heart disease and stroke. |

Power Design contributed a sponsorship for the organization’s sixth annual golf tournament benefiting its Neighborhood Revitalization Program.

April 2011Power Design teamed up with Brighton Collectibles and Soles4Souls in a shoe drive to provide footwear to the victims of the earthquake in Japan. More than 500 pairs of shoes were donated for this effort.

April 2011Power Design sponsored the Dance Marathon event at the University of Florida, which benefited the Children's Miracle Network and Shands Children's Hospital. In this event, more than 800 student "dancers" stayed awake and on their feet for 26 hours. |

The National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society supports MS research and offers services and professional education programs for individuals with MS. October 2010Power Design formed a corporate team for the SPCA's 20th Annual 3K Pet Walk in St. Petersburg, FL. All proceeds will help the SPCA Tampa Bay continue to increase adoptions, provide 24-hour emergency medical care for sick and injured strays, investigate animal cruelty cases, and educate the public on the humane care of pets. Power Design was named the corporate challenge winner for 2010. |

The Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary is the largest non-profit wild bird hospital in the United States and helps rehabilitate tens of thousands of birds every year. |

June 2010Power Design supported the University of Florida’s project RE-focus team in the Solar Decathlon Europe competition. The aim of the international competition is to advance knowledge on industrialized, sustainable homes, with a particular emphasis on high efficiency and energy self-sufficiency. The University of Florida was one of only two teams participating from the United States. |

January 2010Power Design, in partnership with Investment Café, teamed up to donate a chartered plane to Caritas Christi Health Care clinicians, which was used for medical missions to Haiti. Upon arriving in Haiti, the clinicians used donated medical equipment and supplies to care for those in need. The plane transported the clinicians and medical supplies from Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa to Haiti and specifically to Cap Haitien, a city in the outlying areas in the north of the country. In addition to the Port Au Prince, the outlying areas were also devastated by the earthquake and these regions were the focus of Caritas Christi Health Care missions. |

November 2009Power Design recently teamed up with Hardin Construction to support CANstruction, a national event that brings together architecture, engineering and construction professionals to design and build structures completely out of canned foods. The event helps raise awareness about hunger in and all proceeds and cans are donated to the area food banks. Pictured right is The Very Hungry CANerpillar, which used almost 4,400 cans. |

October 2009Power Design participated in the University of Florida’s, M.E. Rinker Sr. School of Building Construction annual fishing tournament at Hula Bay Grill in Tampa Bay. The tournament helped raise money for the Endowed Professorship Program, an initiative to develop a construction services track in the Rinker School. Graduates of the program will be qualified to work for suppliers, testing labs, bonding and insurance companies. |
