Project V5 is a series of charitable programs designed to help us put our 5 values in action. The proceeds from scrap metal collected at our jobsites will be donated directly to local charities. June 2010Power Design supported the University of Florida’s project RE-focus team in the Solar Decathlon Europe competition. The aim of the international competition is to advance knowledge on industrialized, sustainable homes, with a particular emphasis on high efficiency and energy self-sufficiency. The University of Florida was one of only two teams participating from the United States. |

June 2010Power Design and BJ&K Construction teamed up with ABC for the annual charity fishing tournament. Proceeds were donated to Children’s Harbor, who provide therapeutic services to children and families in crisis, a safe and nurturing environment for children in foster care, and advocacy within the child welfare system. |

April 2010Power Design participated in the Hardin Construction 21st annual Atlanta Memorial golf tournament at Stone Mountain Golf Club. Power Design’s participation helped raise money for the March of Dimes, supporting programs in the community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. |

January 2010Power Design, in partnership with Investment Café, teamed up to donate a chartered plane to Caritas Christi Health Care clinicians, which was used for medical missions to Haiti. Upon arriving in Haiti, the clinicians used donated medical equipment and supplies to care for those in need. The plane transported the clinicians and medical supplies from Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa to Haiti and specifically to Cap Haitien, a city in the outlying areas in the north of the country. In addition to the Port Au Prince, the outlying areas were also devastated by the earthquake and these regions were the focus of Caritas Christi Health Care missions. |

December 2006 - 2009Power Design and its employees embraced the Toys for Tots Program during the holiday season by donating and delivering new toys to children in need within the local community. |

November 2009Power Design recently teamed up with Hardin Construction to support CANstruction, a national event that brings together architecture, engineering and construction professionals to design and build structures completely out of canned foods. The event helps raise awareness about hunger in and all proceeds and cans are donated to the area food banks. Pictured right is The Very Hungry CANerpillar, which used almost 4,400 cans. |

October 2006 - 2009Power Design sponsors many of it's employees who participatedin the 3-day Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk in Tampa Bay. Thousands of women and men come together each year to raise money and walk 60 miles to help end breast cancer one step at a time. |

October 2009Power Design participated in the University of Florida’s, M.E. Rinker Sr. School of Building Construction annual fishing tournament at Hula Bay Grill in Tampa Bay. The tournament helped raise money for the Endowed Professorship Program, an initiative to develop a construction services track in the Rinker School. Graduates of the program will be qualified to work for suppliers, testing labs, bonding and insurance companies. |

August 2009Power Design Resources recently donated $35,000 worth of lighting fixtures to the Chipola Baptist Association to help disaster relief projects throughout the Gulf Coast. These lighting fixtures will be used for residential homes and commercial buildings that are still recovering from past storms and disasters |

November 2008Power Design was one of the sponsors for the 'I Have a Dream Foundation' annual gala in Miami, Florida. The program's mission is to inspire and financially assist children in their pursuit for higher education. |

May 2008Members of Power Design's South Florida team, in partnership with Current Builders, participated in the 2008 Habitat for Humanity Builders Blitz in Delray Beach, Florida. Power Design assisted in building two, single-family homes in 7 days. Power Design contributed over 90% of the electrical materials and installation needed for the project. |

May 2007 - 2008Over the past two consecutive years Power Design has sent many team members and customers to the Bahamas to participate in the Mike Schmidt Winner's Circle Fishing Tournament raising over $250,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Fund. |
