Mitch Permuy

Chief Executive Officer
Mitch co-founded the company in 1989 and under his leadership, the company has grown into one of the largest full-service electrical contractors in the United States, producing more than 100,000 units in the residential and commercial markets. Mitch is actively involved in the day-to-day management of Power Design including: developing goals, operating plans, corporate policies, and short- and long-term objectives; establishing organizational structure; advising other executives; and reviewing results of business operations. Mitch is a Certified Master Electrician in 17 states and has more than 25 years of experience in designing and installing complex electrical projects.

Dana Permuy

Chief Financial Officer
Dana co-founded the company in 1989. Dana handles all fiscal aspects of the company, including overseeing financial plans; accounting practices; cash management; accounting; budgeting; and tax and audit activities. Dana is also responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data, managing and directing relationships with business and financial vendors, and developing and implementing changes to improve systems and financial performance.

Meredith Zdon

Chief Operating Officer
Meredith is responsible for planning and directing all aspects of the organization's operational policies, objectives and initiatives. Meredith is also responsible for the attainment of Power Design's short and long-term financial and operational goals and ensuring that all departments operate cohesively within the same organizational procedures.

Prior to joining Power Design in 2003, Meredith held various supervisory and management positions in Public Accounting at Arthur Andersen and Aidman Piser & Co. Meredith received her B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Florida and a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida. Meredith is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Florida. She was named 2008 Business Woman of the Year by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

Frank Musolino

Director of Preconstruction
Frank oversees the Preconstruction Department, including the Design/Engineering, Coordination, CADD, and Systems groups. He also manages the Estimating Department, which is responsible for bidding out many project types that use varying delivery methods.

Prior to joining Power Design in 2007, Frank held a management position with Clark Construction Group, LLC and worked in construction litigation at Moody & Shea, PA. He received his B.S. degree in Business from Wake Forest University and his M.B.A and J.D. degrees from Stetson University. Frank is an active member of the Florida and District of Columbia Bars and a LEED Accredited Professional with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

David Redden

General Counsel/Risk Manager
David oversees the company's legal interests and implements risk management and loss prevention programs, which involves negotiating contract terms with customers, vendors and business partners, management of the corporate legal structure, succession planning, advising on company-wide insurance programs, and acting as the liaison between executive management and outside legal counsel.

Prior to joining Power Design in 2005, David worked in both the private and public sectors, with experience in litigation and corporate governance. He received his B.A. degree in E-commerce and Finance from Texas Christian University and his M.B.A. and J.D. degrees from Stetson University. David is an active member of the Florida Bar.

Divisional Operations Manager
Mike is responsible for directing, managing, and coordinating the overall planning, manpower, budget and production of Power Design’s electrical construction projects in the Northeast region while providing customer service and adhering to Power Design quality standards. He serves as a strategic partner and works directly with our senior leadership.

Mike joined Power Design in 2000 and has more than a decade of experience in large scale electrical construction, including some of Power Design’s largest projects, including multifamily, military and commercial construction. He has served at Power Design in such positions as executive project manager, vice president of estimating and Mid-Atlantic divisional operations manager.

Joe Micallef

Divisional Operations Manager
Joe is responsible for directing, managing, and coordinating the overall planning, manpower, budget and production of Power Design’s electrical construction projects in the Southeast region while providing customer service and adhering to Power Design quality standards. He serves as a strategic partner and works directly with our senior leadership.

Prior to joining Power Design in 2006, Joe held executive positions in project management, operations, and financial management.  Joe has more than 20 years of experience in the electrical industry and holds several professional accreditations, including OSHA 30 certification as well as Fire and Burglar Alarm Systems agent certifications. He has held such positions as vice president and chief financial officer, and he studied accounting at Empire State College.

Marlene Velez

Director of Human Resources
Marlene is responsible for overseeing all Human Resources activities for the corporation, including training and development, staffing, employee practices, compensation, employee benefits, safety, and labor laws.

Named as an Up and Comer by the Tampa Bay Business Journal in 2011, Marlene is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), has an Executive M.B.A. and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of South Florida. Prior to joining Power Design in 2004, Marlene held leadership positions in human resources at Banker’s Insurance and Personnel One.

Marcela Gomez

Executive Operations Manager
Marcela is responsible for directing the Service, Systems, Logistics and Procurement departments. Marcela manages the development of personnel, the evaluation of workload and the staffing needs of these departments. Additionally, she directs operational policies and procedures and new system implementations.

Marcela joined Power Design in 2004 as a Project Manager before being promoted to Executive Operations Manager and to her current position in 2007. Prior to joining Power Design, Marcela held a management position at State Quality Builders. She received her B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering and her M.B.A. from the University of Tampa.

Mark Robinson

General Manager of Power Design Resources
Mark Robinson is responsible for managing all aspects of operations associated with the Power Design Resources facility in Atlanta, Ga. In his role, Mark maintains and establishes a high level of customer service while adhering to Power Design product stewardship and integrity requirements. He is responsible for developing and administering policies, establishing and maintaining relationships with manufacturers and directing all purchasing, storage and distribution of the light fixtures.  Mark ensures compliance with Power Design policies and procedures while adhering to health and safety requirements within the facility.

Mark joined Power Design in 2005 and has more than 17 years of experience in product distribution, with more than 15 years in the lighting distribution industry.  Mark received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Indiana State University and his Master in Information Technology from American Intercontinental University.

Mark Polites

Director of Accounting
Mark Polites provides vision and leadership for the accounting department, implementing and streamlining financial processes that will enhance overall operations and effectiveness.  He is responsible for overall leadership, data integrity and direction of the accounting department, as well as the establishment and enforcement of standards.

Mark has more than 15 years of leadership experience working in accounting and finance roles. Prior to joining Power Design in early 2011, Mark held various senior-level accounting and finance roles at Bank of America and the Goodrich Corporation. He specializes in planning and forecasting, financial reporting and controls, development and integration of financial management. Mark earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the College of William and Mary, and his Master of Business Administration degree at Duke University. He also holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in the state of North Carolina.

Raghu Kutty

Director of Information Technology
Raghu leads the company’s technology strategy and is responsible for overseeing, managing and coordinating all aspects of the Information Technology (IT) department. He is responsible for overall leadership, data integrity and direction of the technology infrastructure, as well as establishment and enforcement of standards.  Raghu establishes and implements short- and long-range departmental goals, policies and operating procedures.

Raghu began working with Power Design, Inc. in 2010 and has more than a decade of experience in information technology, most of which involved database technologies and specifically the Oracle E-Business Suite application, Raghu has extensive experience in managing the administrative, operational and technology functions of an IT department with a strong business background. Previously Raghu held the position of managing director at Aurie as well as director of business applications at Rosendin Electric. Raghu graduated with Honors with his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and has presented at several technology summits across the country.
