Mitch Permuy

Chairman

Over the past 26 years, Mitch and his team have turned Power Design into more than just an electrical contractor. His out-of-the-box thinking and leadership grew this family business, originally run out of a dining room, into a Fortune Top 100 Company on a 133,000-square-foot campus on 22 acres.

Mitch is actively involved in the day-to-day management of Power Design. He maintains an open door policy with roughly 1,000 employees, develops goals, operating plans, and business objectives. Mitch is a Certified Master Electrician in 20 states, from his home town of Huntington Beach, CA., across the U.S. to his longtime residence of St. Petersburg, FL. Whether working on his golf handicap or acquiring new business, his energy and charisma is contagious.

Mitch played a major role in developing the company’s core values in 2007 and still promotes them daily among his teams. "Our five values are permanent and they are non-negotiable. We each had a part in creating these values, and we need to hold each other accountable in upholding them."

Meredith Zdon

Chief Operating Officer

Frank is involved at all levels within the company, from corporate planning to operational execution. An avid hunter, when Frank is not in the woods he directly oversees Power Design’s Preconstruction activities, which includes the Estimating, Preconstruction, Engineering, and Coordination groups. He also directs all aspects of Power Design’s Systems Division, which performs fire alarm, low voltage, security, audio/visual and lighting control work nationwide. But don’t be fooled by Frank’s preconstruction responsibilities; with a drive for excellence in the field and respect towards the staff that achieves it, you’ll find him walking jobsites and providing guidance as much as anybody.

Prior to joining Power Design nearly 10 years ago, Frank held a management position with Clark Construction Group, LLC in their Bethesda, M.D. headquarters where he worked on a wide array of projects including multi-family, office, hospital, airports and stadiums. Before moving up to D.C., Frank performed construction litigation work with Moody & Shea, PA. He received his B.S. in Business from Wake Forest University and his M.B.A. and J.D. degrees from Stetson University, remaining an active member of the Florida and D.C. Bars.

Growing up in a family business centered around construction and development fostered his passion for building. Frank has a garage full of tools that would rival most supply houses and he finds any excuse to use them.
