Accounting Manager
POSITION OVERVIEW
The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Manager include developing, maintaining, and improving policies and procedures for the Accounting Department and other accounting functions.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Oversee, process, and ensure the accuracy of all department related procedures and transactions.
- Prepare financial reports to be reviewed by executive management.
- Compile and review information for monthly and quarterly audits.
- Work closely with the Human Resources and Accounting Department to ensure all departmental activities are aligned with current company practices, policies, and accounting procedures.
- Participate in the implementation of the Oracle accounting system and other third-party providers.
- Participate in inter-departmental operational initiatives to help with process improvement and developing policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Training & Development Department to establish end user training on new accounting systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree. (Preferably in in Accounting or Finance.)
- At least five years of accounting or financial experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrate and uphold all of Power Design’s core values, which include Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, Innovation, and Growth.
