Safety Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Safety Manager provides leadership and assistance to Power Design’s Health and Safety Program.  The Safety Manager is responsible for the effectiveness of safety-related programs and training as well as promoting a safe work environment at all times. 


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Evaluate effectiveness of all safety related programs and modify as necessary.
  • Develop and manage safety-training programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance and monitor all federal and state rules and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to verify safety standards comply with company and regulatory standards.  
  • Act as liaison between management, regulatory agencies, customers, and insurance carriers.
  • Participate in the development of safety related materials and documents as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction or safety related field. 
  • At least five years of construction project management experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and other safety related regulations.  
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish speaking preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Non-smoker.
