National Electrical Contractor Extends Footprint to the West Coast

One year after hiring a Project Executive in the California region, national electrical contractor Power Design, Inc. is well underway with their first project on the west coast.
Alta 301, a 182-unit apartment complex in Santa Ana, Cali., broke ground in late 2015. Only a few miles from Disney Land, Alta 301 is located in the up-and-coming Main Place neighborhood.

Alta 301 is Power Design’s 20th project with Wood Partners, after working together for more than 10 years.

“We have been using the same strategy when it comes to working in new markets for the last 25 years,” says VP of Business Development at Power Design, Lauren Permuy. “Our relationships are the driving force behind our business, which is why we waited for a long-standing customer like Wood Partners to team with us on the right opportunity.”

    Vice President of Business Development

This approach is what took Power Design from working solely in the Florida market back in 1989 to 20 states across the U.S. As developers and general contractors expanded their reach, they brought Power Design with them. “We provide consistent quality and pricing throughout the country, which is what our clients appreciate and have come to expect,” says Permuy.

Alta 301 is slated for completion in summer of 2017 and is one of roughly 150 projects Power Design currently has in-progress.
