Uncommon Tampa is a 161-unit student housing community on two acres at the University of South Florida that consists of multiple six-story apartment buildings with an attached, seven-story pre-cast concrete parking garage. It boasts a variety of sustainable features and used Prescient, a prefabricated metal structural system of recycled-content steel that is manufactured and installed using less than one percent waste. Uncommon was the first development in the state to use this technology, which also cut installation time in half and enabled the team to meet the tight construction timeline.
