The Tampa Bay Rays are returning to Tropicana Field, back in St. Petersburg, where the energy is electric and the connection to the community runs deep. Aiding in the restoration of Tropicana Field after last year’s hurricane required speed, manpower, coordination, and trust across every phase of the work.
From early response through execution, the focus stayed on keeping progress moving and delivering under pressure, just in time for Opening Day. That kind of outcome only happens with the right partners. We’re proud to have worked alongside AECOM and Hennessy Construction Services—teams that understand how to navigate complexity and stay aligned when it counts.
As Mayor Ken Welch shared, Power Design was “a reliable, solutions-focused team, helping keep the work on schedule and on budget while supporting thoughtful execution that protects the public’s investment.”
Together, we kept the work advancing and the end goal in sight: getting the stadium ready for Opening Day and getting the Rays back home in our backyard.
Our continued collaboration with the City of St. Petersburg showcases a shared commitment to the community and the spaces that bring it together—Tropicana Field being just one of those spaces.
We’re cheering on our Rays this season and our #PDIFamily, who joined our partners in stepping up to the plate to showcase our expertise across our Sports & Entertainment Division.
