The best crews know how to work hard – and how to have a little fun together, too.
Our Field teams are out there every day bringing some of the biggest projects in the country to life. Power Outage is our opportunity to bring something to them. No matter the trade, project or part of the country they call home, the people in the Field are a huge part of what makes Power Design, Power Design.
Each summer, we take the celebration on the road, hosting Power Outage events near our jobsites to show some love to our teams and the families who support them every step of the way.
From Denver to New York City, California to Miami, and plenty of stops in between, every Power Outage looked a little different. We took over family-friendly venues where crews could race go-karts, hit the bowling lanes, take on rock climbing walls, play mini golf, battle it out in the arcade, or go head-to-head over giant lawn games. Add in good food, tons of giveaways and prizes, and plenty of time to hang out, and there was something for the whole family to get in on.
And that family piece is a big part of what makes these events so special.
Power Outage isn’t just for our team members. Kids, spouses and loved ones are invited along for the fun, giving our extended Power Design family the chance to experience a little #PDILife for themselves. They get to meet the teammates they’ve heard about, put faces to names and get to know the community that stretches far beyond any one project or jobsite.
At the heart of it all is something pretty simple: appreciation.
It’s a thank you for the early mornings, the long days, the craftsmanship, the teamwork and everything that is put into getting the job done. More importantly, it’s an opportunity to celebrate them alongside the people who matter most.
From one stop to the next, Power Outage gives us a reason to step away from the work, come together and have some well-earned fun. Our Field teams spend all year building incredible things. Power Outage is a day built for them.
