And since we’re no strangers to disrupting a traditional industry, our expansion to offer full design-build MEPS services is one way we are staying ahead of the trends to drive value for General Contractors and developers.

By leveraging our team of in-house engineers and more than 30 years of design-build experience, we are able to drive value across these naturally related scopes by providing the best total project design solutions, mitigating risk with early project coordination through our BIM-driven design, and creating cost-efficient solutions – a high accountability effort since we go out and build off the plans we stamp!
Designing with the end in mind allows us to realize some major benefits internally, by maintaining more control of constructibility focused on the specific product type and geographic market, and externally for our customers, by helping owners and builders make informed decisions through early engagement to provide the best solutions for the best value. Not to mention the streamlined communication that comes with having one contractor handle the entire MEPS scope!
With this approach, we’ve been hard at work building our Mechanical teams to take on these new jobs. We’ve already begun partnering on some full MEP projects that we can’t wait to break ground on, check them out on the next page!

This year, Power Design made Associated Builders and Contractors’ (ABC) Top Electrical Contractor and Top Trade Contractor lists. For the first time, we also made the Top Plumbing/HVAC Contractor list! We are so proud to see our team already getting recognized for all the great work they’re doing on these newer services. And this is just the beginning!
Ascent – St. Petersburg, Florida
What’s better than designing one of our first Mechanical projects right in our own backyard? After this lot sat vacant for 17 years, Greystar was able to bring this project to fruition by developing a 529 unit mixed-use project, totaling 685,049 square feet. Standing at thirty-six stories tall with meeting space, a rooftop bar, and luxury amenities, this will be one of the tallest buildings in the city’s skyline. Not to mention it will sit on top of nearly 12,000 square feet of retail space along 1st Avenue North and the corner of 2nd Street and Sunshine Lane!

Courthouse Metro – Arlington, VA
Considered a “Landmark Block,” this residential tower is a major redevelopment project that will take up about 408,645 square feet of aging, low-slung buildings a block from the Courthouse Metro station. This new building is set to make quite an impression with 425 units, a rooftop deck, second floor pool, ground floor retail space, and penthouse apartments on the 20th floor. While giving a nod to the past by reusing the existing historic façade, Courthouse Metro is designed to breathe some new life into the area!

Viera Multi-Family – Viera, Florida
This project is near and dear to our hearts, as it’s Power Design’s very first full MEP design-build project! With a precast concrete structure at the core (meaning it will be delivered in pieces), there has been a lot of coordination required up-front to ensure a quality product is built in the end. Once complete, the building will span a total of 397,938 square feet and include 245 units. This new apartment complex will be located right next to the Viera Town Center – the future epicenter of the growing Viera community!
