Last year, Electrical Construction & Maintenance (EC&M) released their “Under 30 EC&M All Stars” report featuring up-and-coming electrical professionals who demonstrate innovation, outstanding work ethic, and technical savviness on the job. These all stars were nominated and recognized for going above and beyond the call of duty, and not just doing what is expected or following the status quo of the job. We’re excited to share that one of our foremen, Kollin Padon, made it on the 2019 Electrical All Star list–one of 10 on the list out of an overwhelming amount of submissions!

Kollin has three uncles in the electrical industry and spent his summers as an apprentice on their crew. After graduating from high school, he was offered an opportunity to become a tradesman and never looked back. He began his career at Power Design in 2015 as an apprentice for the IEC Gulf Coast in Houston, and three years later passed the exam for his journeyman license.

At 28, Kollin is excelling as a foreman in Houston and sees himself as a superintendent training new trade professionals and apprentices at Power Design. We could not be more excited for him to be featured by EC&M. The future is bright for this All Star, and it can be for you too!

Work as part of the team. To be successful as a leader in the electrical trade, you must never ask anyone to do a task you can’t or won’t do yourself. In addition, you must hold yourself accountable for your and your crew’s actions.
