Giving Back Through V5: Special Olympics Texas Edition

Written by Power Design | Jun 10, 2026 7:00:27 PM

At Power Design, giving back is part of who we are. Through our V5 Program, proceeds generated from jobsite scrap metal are reinvested into the communities where we live and work, supporting organizations that matter most to our team members.

Recently, Electrical Assistant Superintendent Mark Peterson submitted a V5 donation request for Special Olympics Texas, an organization that holds special meaning for his family. Mark's older brother, Mike Peterson, is a longtime Special Olympics Track and Field athlete, and the program has played an important role in his life.

Thanks to support through V5, Power Design was able to help cover hotel accommodations and additional expenses for Mike's team, ensuring athletes and their families could focus on what matters most: competing, connecting, and creating lasting memories.

Check out the video below to hear from brothers Mark and Mike about what this means to them!

Stories like Mark and Mike's are exactly why V5 exists. By empowering our team members to champion causes they care about, we're able to create meaningful impact in communities across the country.

Building Stronger Communities Together

Mark's story is just one example of the many ways Power Design team members are making a difference through V5 and other community initiatives.

In 2025 alone, Power Design contributed more than $2.2 million to 336 organizations nationwide, supporting causes focused on education, health and wellness, community development, workforce advancement, and more.
