    Building Maintenance Technician

    about the position…

    We move fast around here, so we’re in need of a Building Technician to help keep our buildings in tiptop shape so that we can stay cool and safe while bustling. Not only will you get to maintain some of the coolest buildings in beautiful St. Pete (not to brag, but they are pretty cool), you’ll be assisting with the execution of building-specific maintenance and safety procedures. You’ll also assist with all operational aspects of building systems, but we’ll dive into that next… 

    position details/responsibilities…

    • Assist in maintaining all building systems including, but not limited to fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, janitorial and electrical
    • Must remain current with latest technology and safety trends
    • Follow manufacturers specifications and maintenance/repair service contracts; following details of the RFP/SOW as required for projects
    • Follow PM schedule including, but not limited to plumbing, pressure washing, lighting, doors (including Access Systems) and HVAC/R, and small appliances
    • Recommend and implement improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an on-going basis
    • Complete comprehensive annual inspection process for facilities 
    • Coordinate with outside contractors for equipment service and repair
    • Request, review, and submit work orders, bids, and proposals from vendors
    • Schedule and document maintenance and repairs on building equipment (including updating equipment records within appropriate programs)
    • Communicate frequently with employees and vendors to resolve issues and provide project status updates
    • Assist with any Property or Facilities related work on campus, we work as one team.

    here’s what we’re looking for…

    • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in a commercial property setting or any similar combination of education or experience
    • Proficient PC skills; familiar with Energy Management Systems (EMS), building automation (Tridium Jace preferred), JIRA, Trello and fire alarm systems
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven leadership ability
    • Vocational/technical training certificate or college degree in related field required
    • Meet necessary health and physical qualifications
