About the Position

Power Design is looking for a Licensing Coordinator to help our teams meet licensing requirements across multiple jurisdictions while empowering employees to achieve and maintain their journeyman-level certifications. This role offers a unique blend of research, compliance, coaching, and reporting—where your ability to manage information and build relationships helps power our success. Position Responsibilities
Licensing Research:
- Identify education requirements for all applicable jurisdictions for construction related licenses and coordinate with all license holders to ensure that the continuing education requirements are met in each jurisdiction.
- Review and update internal licensing resource documents
- Address employee requests sent to Licensing email inbox as needed
- Research, document and maintain trade licensing requirements at the state, county, and city levels.
- Communicate updates and insights with internal partners
Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Journeyman Support:
- Assist employees in the licensing journey with prep course ordering, testing applications, and exam guidance.
- Provide check-ins and motivational support to ensure licensing progress.
- Submit payments for testing and licensing, and track employee milestones.
- Build relationships and utilize influence to drive licensure completion across the company
- Review license reimbursement requests for accuracy and valid documentation.
- Submit approved requests to payroll and communicate processing timelines to employees.
Compliance Reporting & Data Management:
- Investigate audit outliers in partnership with the Legal team and respond accordingly.
- Compile and share audit findings and updates with stakeholders.
- Provide licensing data and reports to business leaders to support informed decision-making.
- Facilitate training sessions as needed (1:1 or group).
- Manage ongoing compliance metrics and maintain accurate, accessible documentation.
Here’s What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- 1–2 years of professional experience in administration, licensing, compliance, or a related role.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills (both written and verbal).
- Bi-lingual skills a plus, but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to problem-solve and think creatively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Workday or other Learning Management Systems is a plus.
