    Introducing: Power Design Global

    At Power Design, growth means pushing the boundaries of what we do, how we do it, and where. We’ve been expanding our footprint, our talent, and our possibilities, and now, drumroll, please… we’ve gone international! Our brand-new office in Costa Rica is officially open, and we can't wait to see what the future holds.

    Talent and Alignment With Power Design

    We set out to find the perfect place to grow our team and capabilities, and Costa Rica checked every box (and then some). Known for excellence in education, especially in STEM fields, the country boasts a literacy rate over 97% and a thriving technology and engineering sector. Add in political stability, top-tier universities, and a bilingual talent pool, and it’s easy to see why it’s an ideal fit for expanding our technical capabilities. 

    Costa Rica also fits very naturally with the way we work. Between shared time zones and strong cultural alignment with the U.S., our teams can collaborate in real time with no delays, and no disconnects. Supporting many of our teams, including Estimating, Virtual Design & Construction, and IT, our Costa Rica office is built to integrate seamlessly with our U.S.-based teams, reinforcing the collaboration, consistency, and quality that define Power Design. 

    Driving Business and Process Optimization

    This expansion is all about making our operations stronger than ever. By taking on key support functions, our Costa Rica team allows our U.S. headquarters to focus on what they do best: driving innovation, developing strategy, and tackling the most complex operations and engineering solutions. 

    Our U.S. operations will continue to deliver seamless results, driven by the same leadership, expertise, and commitment to quality our partners know and trust. What this expansion brings is added strength to give our teams the ability to work smarter, move faster, and take on more with expanded capabilities.  

     

    Impact to Date

    Over the last several months, our Costa Rica team has already been collaborating with our teams and diving a big impact. In fact, they’ve contributed to 58 projects consisting of more than 36 million square feet (and counting). These designers, developers, and specialists come with impressive credentials and go through the same rigorous training, certifications, and compliance standards as our U.S. teams. 

     

    Exciting Growth Ahead

    And we’re just getting started. By the end of 2025, we expect our Costa Rica team to grow to around 150 to 200 employees and continue to boost our capacity to innovate, problem-solve, and deliver for our partners. As we scale, we’ll keep applying the lessons learned and best practices from this growth across the entire organization, setting new benchmarks for what’s possible. 

    Power Design’s growth has always been about one thing: creating better outcomes for our partners. With Costa Rica now part of our story, the future looks brighter, faster, and more connected than ever.
