About the Position
We’re looking for a hands-on Building Technician who is equal parts maintenance and janitorial specialist. This hybrid role is critical in keeping our LINK campus clean, operational, and safe. From changing filters to power washing patios and troubleshooting HVAC issues to maintaining restroom cleanliness — this technician helps ensure our buildings always look and perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and janitorial duties across all building systems including minor fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC/R, electrical, lighting, doors, landscaping, and cleanliness.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and inspections across all facility systems.
- Clean, sanitize, and restock common areas including restrooms, breakrooms, lobbies, and high-touch surfaces.
- Pressure wash outdoor spaces, clean up minor spills, remove trash/debris, and keep pathways and public spaces tidy and hazard-free.
- Support special projects including event setups/breakdowns, permitted work, and inspections.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
- Complete work orders and follow scheduled maintenance program while providing documentation of maintenance work, janitorial supplies, equipment servicing, and inspections.
- Manage and request replenishment of inventories for janitorial supplies and maintenance materials.
- Communicate proactively with employees and vendors to resolve issues and provide updates.
- Adhere to safety and operational procedures, staying current with evolving building technologies and best practices.
Here’s What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of combined experience in commercial property maintenance and janitorial services (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Energy Management Systems, JIRA, Trello, and fire alarm systems preferred.
- Ability to lift, climb, bend, and perform physical tasks required in both janitorial and maintenance work.
- Vocational/technical training or related certifications preferred.

- Assist in troubleshooting and minor repairs on all building systems including, but not limited to fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, janitorial and electrical
- Must remain current with latest technology and safety trends
- Follow minor PM schedule and inspections including, but not limited to plumbing, pressure washing, lighting, doors (including Access Systems) and HVAC/R, and small appliances
- Recommend and implement improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an on-going basis
- Coordinate with outside contractors for equipment service and repair
- Report issues and complete minor repairs via work orders
- Schedule and document maintenance and repairs on building equipment (including updating equipment records within appropriate programs)
- Communicate frequently with employees and vendors to resolve minor issues while providing updates to the Property Administration team
- Maintain LINK property inventories for repairs
