As the Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) Technician, you will be responsible for reviewing DAS/In-Building RF designs, iBwave files and blueprints, and defining the network architecture. You will lead a crew of Installers and manage the installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of in-building DAS systems for Public Safety and Cellular projects, ensuring work is performed in accordance with the highest quality standards.

- Read and interpret design drawings, blueprints, and installation guides.
- Install and secures cables, mount hardware as described in drawings and notes.
- Place, cut, prepare, terminate and secure copper coaxial and optical fiber to their respective connectors, affix splitters based on designs.
- Terminate, test, and troubleshoot cables and antennas.
- Update customer prints, documentation, and facilitate document storage.
- Accurately report status, material usage, and expenses.
- Contribute to creating a professional and safe work environment.
here’s what we’re looking for…
- At least 3-5+ years of related work experience with in-building DAS systems for Public Safety and Cellular solutions.
- Knowledge of OUC (office of unified communications) requirements and standards of installation (DC metro specific requirement).
- Installation experience with at least one of the following OEM systems: JMA Wireless, Westell, Commscope (Andrew), Corning (MobileAccess), ADRF, GST, or Solid in-building.
- Competency / hands-on experience in utilizing Antrisu for signal propagation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with wireless technologies CDMA, EVDO, GSM, CDMA, UMTS, W-CDMA and LTE.
- Knowledge of passive repeater-based equipment is preferred, General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) is a plus.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Visio, Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to travel as needed; must possess a valid driver’s license.
