    About the Position

    As a Systems Low Voltage Technician II at Power Design, you’ll have the ground-floor opportunity to work in a fast-growing division and be on the cutting edge of industry technology, working for an organization with multiple distribution partnerships. With access to innovative technologies in the field, including a fully-equipped iPad and smartphone, responsibilities will include troubleshooting, commissioning, programming, and overseeing the installation of low voltage systems on large-scale construction projects.     Position Responsibilities

    • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and specifications operational/product manuals.
    • Perform installation, troubleshooting, programming, and configuration of access control, CCTV, networking and IP-based cameras.
    • Coordinate with local inspectors and serve as the technical advisor on-site to ensure all quality and code requirements are met.
    • Act as a liaison between project management team, other trades and customers, partnering with the superintendent and foremen regarding production schedule, scope changes, back charges, material and labor management.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction, quality of service, and long-term relations with Power Design.
    • Travel to different jobsites in designated region as needed.

    Here’s What We’re Looking For

    • 5-8+ years of related low voltage work experience, preferably with large-scale new construction projects.
    • Access Control and/or CCTV Manufacturer certifications required.
    • BICSI Installer certification preferred.
    • Proficient knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes and construction safety requirements.
    • Ability to travel as required and must possess valid driver’s license.
