St. Pete Pride: A 20th Anniversary to Remember

This year marked St. Petersburg’s 20th Anniversary of celebrating Pride and was the city’s largest event to date. Over 300,000 supporters banded together to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan – a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement. Taking place in the same city as the Power Design HQ, we happily sponsored and joined the St. Petersburg celebration of Pride to recognize and support the incredible members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

We celebrate diversity and support individuals of all identities within and outside our #PDIFamily. On the GRID, we had Progress Pride Flags for team members to display on their desks, provided Power Design Pride T-shirts, and matched employee donations to charities supporting the LGBTQIA+ community.

The city of St. Petersburg hosted its own various Pride events, capping it all off with the annual Pride Parade. The parade was held in downtown St. Petersburg and stretched nearly ten blocks. Power Design proudly sponsored the event and marched alongside other local businesses, helping add to the sense of community, belonging, and acceptance for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Check out our #PDIFamily taking part in the parade and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community in the video below:
