More Than a Finish Line: Keith’s Story and the Culture That Powers It 💪

At Power Design, we’re constantly inspired by our #PDIFamily that goes above and beyond not just at work, but in every part of life. From tackling complex projects to chasing personal goals, our people bring the same passion, drive, and support for one another both on and off the jobsite.

For Senior Project Manager Keith Lynch, lacing up for the Chicago Marathon wasn’t just another race – it was a story of resilience, discipline, and support. His journey reflects what Power Design’s culture is all about: showing up for yourself and your team, no matter what challenges come your way.

Before becoming a runner, Keith had his sights set on being a state champion cyclist until a freak training accident halted his plans. But where one finish line closed, another opened. Determined to chase a new goal, he set out to run a sub-three-hour marathon to qualify for Boston, and he did just that.

After clocking a 2:56 at the Houston Marathon and securing his spot at Boston 2025, Keith took on Chicago as his second World Major, with his Power Design team cheering him on every step of the way.

At Power Design, stories like Keith’s remind us that personal growth and mental strength go hand in hand, and that’s something we’re committed to supporting across all our teams.

We’re proud to have been recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Mental Well-Being 2025, for the programs, resources, and culture we’ve built to help our people thrive. From our on-site Wellness Center and dedicated Wellness Team, to nutrition coaching, fitness classes, and mental health tools, we take prioritizing both body and mind very seriously.

That same commitment is fueling our efforts this month as we rally around Movember, the leading movement for men’s health awareness. Team members are growing out their mustaches, logging 60 miles for the 60 men lost to suicide every hour, and raising funds for causes that matter. Because taking care of our people means encouraging conversations that can change, or even save lives.

For Keith, our culture of well-being has been one of the many keys to his success. Between long workdays and early training sessions, Power Design’s resources have helped him stay focused and balanced. Working with our in-house wellness trainer and using the gym and fitness technology on campus, Keith found a routine that fuels both his physical and mental performance.
