    Something New is Coming Soon

2024 has started out with a bang for us as we continue to take our projects to the next level. From a global headquarters to a first-of-its-kind vertical structure, our #PDIFamily has been hard at work to make 2024 another one for the books for us.  Take a peek into what we’ve added to our portfolio with both our long-term and brand-new partners around the country.

Royal Caribbean Global Headquarters — Miami, FL

Ready to set sail? The nearly 930,000-square-foot office space that Royal Caribbean is set to call home sure is! Designed after one of its own ships, the Royal Caribbean Global Headquarters will turn heads for residents and tourists alike in Miami and Power Design has already hit the ground to help bring it to life. The project includes a complete electrical buildout, including the fire alarm systems, low voltage systems, and DAS public safety and cellular, as well as light fixtures packaging (one entryway alone will have more than a thousand fixtures to wire in!). Over the course of the next 27 months, Power Design will have more than 100 team members on the job site at a time to make sure a perfect project is delivered.

    Hub Raleigh — Raleigh, NC

From concept to completion and everywhere in between – that’s where you can expect Power Design to be as the more than 665-unit Hub on Campus at Raleigh student housing project gets started in the Raleigh area. Together, our #PDIFamily is leaving their Power Design footprint across the Raliegh area one project at a time. The project will call on our award-winning teams to carefully create a plan to piece together this masterpiece of a project alongside our partners Core Spaces, Barnhill Contracting, and Power Construction.

FSU Stadium Renovation — Tallahassee, FL

Cheers don’t just stay in the stands, they were on the GRID during the celebration of Power Design’s first-ever stadium project, the FSU Football Stadium Renovation, helping officially launch our Sports and Entertainment division. With the newest endeavor getting underway, it has lit a fire for all that’s to come for Power Design in this new realm. With more than 40 Florida State Alumni spread across our #PDIFamily, you can imagine the excitement to hear the War Chant playing through campus. This project is taking off under the advisement of Senior Vice President and FSU Alum Zac Elkins, who rang the bell on this exciting milestone for Power Design. Through multiple phases over 24 months, the stadium will receive a full renovation from electrical and fixtures to low voltage and life safety.

Power Design is now in the heart of the Big Apple — Willets Point is giving us a warm welcome into the city with this two-building, 881-unit residential high rise! Our #PDIFamily is equipped and ready to take on the new challenge, and this project will continue to open new doors for Power Design. With the perk of being a multi-trade contractor on site, our teams will work hand in hand on everything electrical. Right in their own backyard, we’ll be working alongside our partner Related Companies as we bring this long-awaited, community-changing development to the city.

Waldorf Astoria Miami — Miami, FL

We’re not lying when we say we love taking projects to new heights and Waldorf Astoria is no different. With it being the first of its kind in Miami, the 1,049-foot-tall 100-floor modern skyscraper will become Miami’s tallest tower and its first super-tall skyscraper. From the unique design to the perfect location, you can see this project from anywhere. Between design build and design assist, our teams are showing their skills to one another through the electrical, fixtures, life safety, DAS, and low voltage. Be on the lookout for this one-of-a-kind project shaping Miami’s skyline in the next four years.
