    Taking Safety to HEART

At Power Design, we put our people first through support, career development, and more; that also includes training to keep our #PDIFamily safe on and off the job site. Check out the certifications we’ve implemented as an organization while safety continues to be a priority for us.

    CPR and First Aid certification

After Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin suffered a frightening accident on the field, we wanted to take action and protect our own “players.” We are now requiring all field leadership teams to be CPR and First Aid certified.

We’ve partnered with the American Red Cross to certify our team members with this life-saving knowledge. With factors like extreme heat in the Summertime, to labor-intensive work, it’s imperative our team members are equipped and able to perform life-saving acts, such as CPR.

    OSHA-30 and NFPA 70E certification

Power Design is proud to announce that all field team members are OSHA-30 certified and all our field leadership is also NFPA-70E certified – making our field teams well prepared to make sure all our job sites are safe for everyone.

As a leader in the field, I value the importance of informing and educating our teams, so that we never forget that the most important thing is for us to return home safely to our families.

The OSHA-30 safety course provides a greater variety of safety subjects and in-depth, industry-specific training and is intended for supervisors and workers with safety and health responsibility. This certification is also required for all new team members before they join us on the job site. Additionally, all field supervisors are required to obtain their NFPA 70E, which teaches team members to provide a working area for employees that is safe from unacceptable risks associated with the use of electricity in the workplace. These two certifications go hand in hand, with the same goal in mind: every member on the job site returns home safely to their family at the end of the day.

Our job sites and surrounding communities will be safer places to live and work with more members of the community ready to take action if necessary.
