    The Rise High Scholarship underscores our commitment to investing in the next generation by providing financial assistance to children of Power Design employees as they continue their education. If selected, winners would receive a $10,000 scholarship toward the next academic year! 

    The program is administered by International Scholarship & Tuition Services Incorporated (ISTS), a trusted partner in educational assistance program management.

    The Fine Print

    Read below for eligibility details before you begin. Create an account registered to the student’s personal email address. After confirming the email, start the application using Program Key: PowerDesign.

    Eligibility

    Full-time employees who have been with Power Design for at least two years by the application deadline can apply for this program on behalf of their children. To be eligible, your child must:

    • Be your dependent - a biological, step, or legally adopted child living in your household or primarily supported by you 
    • Be 24 years old or younger 
    • Be a high school senior or graduate, or a current college undergraduate or graduate  
    • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year 
    • Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) 

    *Children of PDI Executives (VP level and above) are ineligible. 

    Required Materials

    Applications require the following:

    • A current, complete transcript of grades (grade reports not accepted) including student name, school name, grades, credit hours (if applicable) for each course, and term in which each course was taken 
    • A list of work experiences and involvement in extracurricular activities 
    • (2) 200-word essays about experiences, educational career goals, and objectives 

    Awards

    Award Amounts:

    Up to 10 awards (estimated) of $10,000 each will be granted ($5,000 per semester). Awards are non-renewable. Applicants may reapply yearly as long as they meet the eligibility requirements. 

    * While we would love to award scholarships to every applicant, regulations from the Internal Revenue Service limit our maximum number of recipients to no more than 25% of eligible applications received. For example, if we receive 80 eligible applications, we can only award 20 recipients. 

    Recipient Selection

    Scholarship recipients are selected by International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc. based on academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, and work experience, as well as their essay contributions and letters of recommendation. 

    Notification

    All scholarship applicants will be notified after the application period ends in March. 

    Payment of Scholarships

    International Scholarship and Tuition Services processes scholarship payments on behalf of Power Design. Payment is made in two installments of $5,000 in the fall and spring semesters.
