We love to celebrate our #WomenInConstruction, and there is no better time than in March – which comprises Women in Construction Week, International Women’s Day, and Women’s History Month!
Every year, Power Design proudly joins the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and industry leaders to highlight the #FemaleLeaders in the construction industry. Founded in 1953 by sixteen female leaders, NAWIC originated as Women in Construction of Fort Worth, TX, and was created to support women pursuing a career in construction. Nearly 70 years later, the initiative to grow female employment in the construction industry has not slowed down and continues to grow.
We are also happy to celebrate #WomensHistoryMonth, where we recognize the contributions women have made to the United States and acknowledge the specific achievements women have made over the course of American history in a variety of fields.
This year, we want to spotlight a few of our leading ladies to celebrate their careers, stories, and how they’re breaking the mold as successful female leaders. Read what they had to say below!

My advice to young females entering the construction industry is to learn the job better than anyone else and trust yourself. Be confident and ambitious, but never be afraid to ask questions. Women have a lot to offer in the industry, so let your strengths create opportunities and take them.
