As a supporter of STEM and our next generation of innovators, it was only fitting for Power Design to sponsor the Eisenhower Middle School robotics team in Gibsonton, FL! We used our charitable giving program to supply three TV’s, four cameras, and one projector for students and faculty to use. Volunteers from our systems division, Jake Anderson (low voltage senior PM) and Shawn Daniels (director of fire alarm) also installed the equipment, connecting the cameras to One Network Video Recorder (NVR), which provides a more robust system for processing video data.

Robotics is an introduction to programming, which when taught in schools, gives students the opportunity to explore technology and systems as a potential career. It also has an impact on the construction industry, as robots are currently used to replace or augment human labor. Power Design advocates for the trades by supporting many different schools and programs that encourage the next generation to explore career paths in technology and construction!
