    Get to Know our CFO, Heather!

    At 16, she was a cashier at Publix and graduating from high school. Now, this mother of three and busy CPA somehow finds the time to sits on multiple boards including the Florida Institute of CFOs, and the Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties. We could not be prouder to have her leading our #PDIFamily and on our executive team.

    Get to know our amazing CFO, Heather Ford! In this article by the Tampa Bay Business Journal, Heather touches on being a Tampa native, graduating high school at 16, family, and her roles at PDI that eventually led her to being CFO.

    Heather’s overall focus on the future of the organization and managing corporate risk has led to the creation of new roles within her team — strategic development and internal audit — both of which were filled by longtime, high-performing employees.

    “There’s nothing I enjoy more than watching my team enhance their expertise, develop new skills and grow in their careers. Creating an environment where that can happen is very exciting and rewarding.”

    Her advice for successfully managing a company budget? Creating accountability and visibility. Involving the department leaders in the creation of the budget increases their accountability for hitting the number and creating visibility helps the budget owners stay on track.
