Conversations around clean energy continue to shape how industries think about the future. Expectations are rising, not just around innovation, but around responsibility. How companies operate, what they prioritize, and how they plan for the long term all matter.
At Power Design, sustainability isn’t a side initiative. It’s a core part of how we think about growth, performance, and impact. Clean energy plays an important role in that conversation, but so does the bigger picture: how we design, build, and operate in ways that support our people, our partners, and the communities we’re part of – today and for generations to come.
A More Focused Approach to Sustainability
Sustainability has always been part of how we operate. In 2025, we took a deliberate step to bring those efforts together by forming a dedicated Sustainability team with an important mission to make sure that:
At Power Design, we’re creating a sustainable future by innovating how we operate, supporting the people and communities who power us, and protecting the planet for generations to come.
The BRIGHT Framework
Our sustainability efforts are guided by the BRIGHT framework, which shapes how we design, build, and operate across six key focus areas:
- Buildings – Reducing environmental impact through efficient design and operations
- Resources – Maximizing material efficiency and reducing waste
- Ingenuity – Driving innovation and continuous improvement
- Goodwill – Empowering employees and uplifting communities
- Health – Creating safe, healthy, high-performing jobsites and workplaces
- Trust – Strengthening transparent, reliable partnerships
Together, these pillars help ensure sustainability is integrated across the business, from planning and execution to partnerships and people.
Sustainability in Action
That commitment has already shown up in tangible ways across Power Design. A few recent examples include:
- Over 900 solar panels installed at BASE, our new distribution center
- 6,877+ pounds of recycled e-waste, helping extend material life cycles
- 85+ awarded projects actively pursuing green building certifications
Measuring the Impact
To better understand how those efforts translate into performance, we evaluated energy and water usage across our GRID campus. The results speak for themselves. In 2025, our GRID buildings collectively used approximately 25% less energy and 48% less water than the national median.
Those outcomes reinforce a simple truth: when sustainability is built into how you operate, the impact is real and measurable.
As conversations around clean energy and responsible growth continue, Power Design remains committed to doing the work that matters. By operating with intention, investing in our people, and building for the long term, we’re focused on creating a sustainable future that goes beyond today.
