Giving Back in a Big Way

While we’re always looking for ways to support the communities where we live and work, National Nonprofit Day gives us a chance to reflect on some of the impacts we’ve made throughout the year. From donating 100% of the proceeds made from scrap metal we collect on our jobsites, to raising money while wearing jeans on the GRID, together we strive to do a little good every day.

We put Power Design’s 5 values into action by giving back to employee-chosen charities through Project V5. Proceeds from recycled scrap metal collected on our job sites are donated to charities and causes that our employees are passionate about; and so far in 2021, we’ve donated over $365,000 to 150 nonprofits nationwide!

There’s one thing that our #PDIFamily does not lack when it comes to giving back, and that’s passion. Low Voltage Foreman, Steve Jackson, paired up with his best friend to create a hiking fundraiser, “Climb for the Kids”, which provides gifts to kids fighting cancer through the Treasure Chest Foundation. Senior Project Manager, Eli Campbell, took a ride with the Tampa Gentleman to raise awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health. This spring, twenty-eight Power Design employees volunteered 200+ hours with Habitat for Humanity while our PDR team made and delivered 700+ meals to those in need during their paid time off!

From reelin’ in donations at our Saltwater Showdown to lending a helping hand, we are proud to support the causes that motivate our employees each day. If you’re interested in joining a team who gives back in a big way, click here to apply.
