Our SOURCE team recently spent the day with the Metropolitan Ministries to help spread some holiday hope and cheer to the families in our community. Together, the SOURCE team collectively spent 84 hours total in the daycare assisting teachers in the toddler rooms, giving infants love by holding, feeding and changing them in the infant room, assisting those in need shop for food and clothing, and sort through food donations in their warehouse.
Metropolitan Ministries (MM) works with volunteers & donors to provide food, shelter, and services to the homeless or those in danger of becoming homeless in and around the Tampa Bay area. In 2018, they served 1,623,936 meals to hungry neighbors throughout Tampa Bay, provided 194,801 nights of safe shelter for children and their parents, and helped make sure 21,585 children received toys during the holidays.
