    That's a Wrap on 2023

And with that, 2023 has come to an end. This past year at Power Design was the year of doing everything bigger and better, from reaching the $1 billion-dollar revenue mark to celebrating our first graduating PowerU apprentice class, our #PDIFamily worked hard and played hard together in 2023.

Throughout the year we sat down with three of our Senior Supers to get the inside scoop on what being part of our field leadership means to them — learn more from Nate Urielle who is climbing skylines in Colorado, David Satchell who is shaping Miami’s iconic skyline, and the legend himself Dan Soto who’s bringing next level projects to life in Arizona.

From the three female leaders who are making magic happen in Austin, Texas at River Street Residences, to our award-winning lighting designers brightening up D.C., see how our expertise is shining across the country through the iconic projects we’ve shaped in 2023.

Our field leaders work hand in hand with our leadership on the GRID and at the LINK, to bring the best of the best together on projects both near and far. Hear from Senior Vice President Chris Hughes about how we took things into our own hands when it came to lighting — by creating and sourcing our lighting fixtures for projects, we’re able to quality control and store each product, for each project, leaving our partners with a seamless experience. We’re showing off our expertise in more than just electrical work and lighting, Energy Manager Mike Kuhn and his team are future-proofing California projects through next-level EV Chargers and car stacking systems — creating something that works for the end users and our partners both now, and in the future.

This year, when our people weren’t shaping the nation’s most iconic skylines, we were giving back in a big way to our communities, not just in our own backyard, but across the country through our Project V5 initiatives — we even had a special guest join us this year for some of our philanthropic efforts, U.S. Open Champion Wyndham Clark. We ended the year with holiday festivities and this year’s Jingle & Mingle party on the Power Design Polar Express — where the ticket in was a toy donation for the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital All Kids’ Wonderland event! We’re proud to share Power Design was this year’s largest toy contributor and sponsor, check it out.

We’re not the only ones ridin’ into 2024 in style – three hard-working, deserving Power Design team members who won truck giveaways throughout the year are too! Orlando-based Project Superintendent Eddy Zaldivar was recognized for his hard work and dedication to keeping his job site and team members safe, and can now say he is a proud owner of a brand-new Ford F-150 as the 2023 Safety Truck winner. Operations Credit Manager Taylor Evans also drove away in Ford style in her 2022 Ford Bronco — her loyalty and dedication to her team at Power Design over the past 10 years did not go unnoticed, and neither does her sweet new ride. We didn’t stop there! Not just in the month of November, but year-round we honor our defenders who have served our country — this year we gave away a Land Rover Defender to one of our defenders, Jose Morejon

And let us not forget how our expertise and culture was recognized at the highest levels! From being a three-peat MEP Giants winner and named a national top contractor by multiple organizations to nine top workplace lists and nine cultural excellence awards, our winning teams are taking us to the next level.

From truck giveaways to breaking records in 2023, we’re ready to take things to the next level in the new year. From our #PDIFamily to yours, Happy New Year!
