    about the position…

    We’re leaders of innovative technology and training in the construction world, and we keep getting better! That’s because our IT department has mastered how to stay one step ahead in advanced technology and applications to help our organization grow. As a software engineer, or “director of doing things better”, you’ll create internal applications that will help shape and develop our future leaders of Power Design in the field, and in all other departments. As a valued member of our IT department, you’ll be responsible for leading end-to-end application scoping, planning, design, implementation and post-implementation of Power Design’s internal business applications.

    position details/responsibilities…

    • Develop and deploy applications that support technical staff, end users and all levels of management. 
    • Design and build integrations with third party applications.
    • Partner with internal resources to define and implement process improvements.
    • Partner with internal resources in choosing technology stack to build solutions 
    • Build and support internal solutions while conducting systems analysis, design, coding, testing and troubleshooting of new and existing applications. 
    • Lead the design, debugging, coding and maintenance of applications built on Oracle APEX. 
    • Gather input and requirements from technical staff, end users and management. 
    • Complete projects and task as assigned. 

    here’s what we’re looking for…

    • 7-10 years of experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, information technology or related field. 
    • Experience with Oracle Application Express is required
    • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
    • Knowledge of relational database systems
    • Strong programming skills in SQL/PLSQL are required
    • Strong understanding of information management, data modeling, system integration, development methodologies and web technologies (REST, WSDL, etc.).
    • Strong Knowledge of Web server technologies like Node.js, Apache etc.
    • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, React etc.
    • Strong programming skills in JQuery, Python, Java
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work effectively with all organizational levels. 
    • Must be self-motivated with strong analytical skills and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines with minimal supervision.
