Quotations Specialist / Estimator – LFG Switchgear Manufacturing
    Position Summary
At Power Design (PDI), innovation drives everything we do — from building the future of
construction to powering our own LFG switchgear manufacturing division. We’re looking
    for a motivated Quotations Specialist/Estimator who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented
environment. This role is critical in preparing accurate and competitive estimates
for custom switchgear and electrical equipment projects while partnering closely with
sales, engineering, and production to deliver solutions that keep PDI ahead of the industry.
If you’re detail-oriented, love problem-solving, and want to grow your career with a
company that’s known for its “work hard, play hard” culture, this is your opportunity.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Estimate Development: Review blueprints, specifications, and proposals to
prepare accurate time, material, and labor estimates for switchgear projects.
    • Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with engineering and production teams to
ensure designs are practical and align with LFG’s manufacturing capabilities.
    • Quotations & Proposals: Generate professional, competitive proposals that meet
customer requirements while supporting profitability and long-term partnerships.
    • Vendor & Supplier Relations: Issue RFQs, secure competitive pricing, negotiate
with suppliers, and recommend alternatives where appropriate.
    • Customer Engagement: Work alongside sales to strategize on bids, clarify
requirements, and support customers through the quoting process.
    • Value Engineering: Identify opportunities to optimize designs and reduce costs
    without sacrificing quality or performance.
    • Tracking & Reporting: Maintain historical cost databases, supplier information, and
ensure accurate documentation of all bids and proposals.
    • Follow-Up: Track open quotes, support transition from awarded projects, and
    provide input on post-project reviews.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred (engineering, construction, business, or related field)
OR relevant experience in electrical estimating, quotations, or project
    coordination.
    • 2+ years of experience in electrical distribution, switchgear, or manufacturing
    environment preferred.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bid packages.
    • Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with an eye for detail.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MRP or estimation software
    is a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with
    sales teams, suppliers, and customers.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to learn, grow, and deliver results.
