    About the Position

    As a Systems Low Voltage Technician at Power Design, you’ll have the ground-floor opportunity to work in a fast-growing division and be on the cutting edge of industry technology, working for an organization with multiple distribution partnerships. With access to innovative technologies in the field, including a fully equipped iPad and smartphone, you’ll be responsible for troubleshooting, commissioning, programming, and overseeing the installation of low voltage systems on large-scale construction projects.     Position Responsibilities

    • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and specifications, as well as operational and product manuals.
    • Install, troubleshoot, program, and configure access control, CCTV, networking, and IP-based camera systems.
    • Coordinate with local inspectors and serve as the on-site technical advisor to ensure all quality and code requirements are met.
    • Act as a liaison between the project management team, other trades, and customers, partnering with the superintendent and foremen regarding production schedules, scope changes, back charges, materials, and labor management.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction, quality of service, and long-term partnerships with Power Design.
    • Travel to different job sites within the designated region as required.

    Here’s What We’re Looking For

    • 5–8+ years of related low voltage experience, preferably with large-scale new construction projects.
    • Access Control and/or CCTV manufacturer certifications required.
    • BICSI Installer certification preferred.
    • Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and construction safety requirements.
    • Ability to travel as required and must possess a valid driver’s license.
